Vail, Colo. (Jan. 5, 2009) – Starting today, guests at the Arrabelle at Vail Square, a  RockResort, will be able to sip a tasty new drink while supporting an important Vail Valley non-profit organization.  The Communiti, a martini that features pomegranate vodka, Pomm juice, lemonade and fresh mint, will benefit the Vail Valley Charitable Fund. The VVCF helps people who live and work in Eagle County who have overwhelming financial needs due to medical crisis.

The idea is inspired from Danny Meyer’s  book "Setting The Table” which talks about the importance of being part of the community, including making donations through non-profit events,” said Rob Dorey, director of food and beverage for the Arrabelle. “We took this concept and turned it into something that we can do on a daily basis.”

For years, Vail Mountain, RockResorts and the entire Vail Resorts family have been committed to working with non-profits where our resorts are located.  This year, in an effort to be more focused with its charitable giving and make a larger contribution to the community, the Company launched the new Vail Resorts 360 program. VR 360 will work to develop new ideas, the like Communiti, that work to make a difference for the residents of Eagle County.
Each Communiti that is served will contribute $5 to the VVCF. The drink will be available at Arrabelle’s Centre V every day until the end of the winter season.  Guests to Centre V can sip the new Communiti in the elegant dining area, the cozy bar or the spacious slopeside patio after a day on the Vail Mountain.
