WHISTLER, B.C/STEVENS PASS, WA. – Nov. 6, 2018 – New this winter, Stevens Pass is now included on the Epic Pass alongside unlimited, unrestricted access to Whistler Blackcomb and Vail Resorts’ full collection of world-class ski and snowboard destinations. Sunday, Nov. 18 is the last chance to buy season passes, Whistler Blackcomb EDGE Cards and Stevens Pass Powder Packs for the 2018-19 winter season.
For guests looking to enjoy unlimited skiing, the Epic Pass has added access to 20 new resorts for this season, for an unprecedented total of 65 resorts throughout eight countries for just US$949. The Epic Pass, which includes unlimited, unrestricted access to Whistler Blackcomb and Stevens Pass, now also features access to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Fernie Alpine Resort and Kimberley Resort in British Columbia; Nakiska in Alberta; Mont Sainte Anne and Stoneham in Quebec. The Epic Pass remains unmatched in the mountain resort industry for the variety and value it offers skiers and snowboarders. For guests looking to have unlimited skiing and riding exclusively at Whistler Blackcomb with the best in-resort benefits, the Whistler Blackcomb Unlimited Pass is available for CAD$1,409.
New for the 2018-19 season, Whistler Blackcomb has launched a 2-Day EDGE Card, available for CAD$249, offering two deeply discounted days at Whistler Blackcomb without holiday or peak restrictions. For guests looking for an even better value, the Restricted 2-Day EDGE Card, available for just CAD$219, includes access for two days of skiing or snowboarding at Whistler Blackcomb with certain peak restrictions. Additionally, all 5 and 10 Day EDGE Cards offer deeply discounted days at Whistler Blackcomb. The 5 Day EDGE Card, starting at just CAD$459 with restrictions, allows pass holders to use two of the five days at Stevens Pass or any of Vail Resorts’ owned and operated ski resorts. The 10 Day EDGE Card allows pass holders to use three of the ten days at Stevens Pass or any of Vail Resorts’ owned and operated ski resorts. The 2 Day, 5 Day, and 10 Day EDGE Cards are only available to residents of Canada and Washington State and offer exclusive savings and benefits.
Skiers and snowboarders can use the Epic Pass to seize the season with early-season turns at Stevens Pass, scheduled to open on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and Whistler Blackcomb scheduled to begin the season on Thursday, Nov. 22. Take advantage of early season events, discounts and opening day celebrations including the Whistler Film Festival at Whistler Blackcomb from Nov. 28-Dec. 3.
The 2018-19 season will see the result of Vail Resorts’ historic investment of CAD$66 million (US$52 million) into Whistler Blackcomb. This transformative investment includes a new 10-passenger gondola ascending from the base to the top of Blackcomb Mountain, terminating adjacent to the existing PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola. The new gondola will offer guests a weather-protected experience in the first three-gondola connection in the world.
Additionally, the capital plan includes lift upgrades in Whistler Blackcomb’s Family Ski Zone, replacing the Emerald Express four-passenger lift with a new six-passenger high-speed lift. Finally, the Catskinner triple-passenger lift has been replaced with a four-passenger, high-speed lift, which will allow Whistler Blackcomb guests to enjoy faster, more convenient access to Blackcomb Mountain’s beginner and intermediate terrain.
Stevens Pass 4 and 6-Day Powder Packs, Premium and Select Passes are still available for purchase for the 2018-19 season and are also subject to the Nov. 18 deadline.
2018-19 Ski and Snowboard Season Pass Options
- Epic Pass™: For US$949, the Epic Pass offers unlimited, unrestricted access to 19 mountain resorts plus additional access to 46 more, including 20 new mountains for the 2018-19 season. Discover 65 of the world’s premier resorts throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria. The Epic Pass pays for itself in just under five days of skiing or snowboarding. Enjoy unlimited, unrestricted access to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado; Park City in Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe; Stowe and Okemo in Vermont; Mount Sunapee in New Hampshire; Stevens Pass in Washington; Afton Alps in Minnesota; Mt. Brighton in Michigan; Wilmot Mountain in Wisconsin; Whistler Blackcomb in Canada; and Perisher in Australia for the 2019 season. New for the 2018-19 season, Epic Pass holders will receive seven days of skiing or snowboarding with no blackout dates at both Telluride in Colorado and at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Kimberley Alpine Resort in British Columbia, Nakiska in Alberta, and Mont-Sainte Anne and Stoneham in Quebec), in addition to five total consecutive days with no blackout dates at Hakuba Valley’s nine ski resorts in Japan. The Epic Pass also grants limited access to Les 3 Vallées, Paradiski and Tignes-Val D’Isere in France; 4 Vallées in Switzerland; Arlberg in Austria and Skirama Dolomiti in Italy. A child pass (ages five to 12) is US$499.
- Epic Local Pass™: For US$709, guests receive access to 27 resorts, including unlimited, unrestricted access to Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte, Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Stevens Pass, Arapahoe Basin, Wilmot, Afton Alps and Mt. Brighton with limited restrictions at Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, and Stowe, plus a combined total of 10 days at Vail, Beaver Creek, and Whistler Blackcomb with holiday restrictions and five total consecutive days with no blackout dates at Hakuba Valley’s nine ski resorts in Japan. The Epic Local Pass pays for itself in just under four days and includes access to 13 new mountains for the 2018-19 season. A child pass (ages five to 12) is US$379 and a teen pass (ages 13-18) is US$569.

Additionally, EDGE Cardholders receive exclusive discounts on lodging, up to 20 percent off at select retail locations, CAD$35 off select Snow School programs and more.
- Whistler Blackcomb Unlimited Season Pass: Ski unlimited and unrestricted at Whistler Blackcomb from opening day to closing day for only CAD$1409.
