Vail Ski & Snowboard School to Host Kids Rail Jam in Lionshead, Wednesdays through April 16
  • Free kid’s rail jam open to all kids on skis or snowboards from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.
VAIL, Colo. – Month 18, 2013 – TheVail Ski & Snowboard School will host a kid’s rail jam on Wednesdays through April 16 from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. in Lionshead next to the Born Free Express Lift (#8). The introductory park and rail clinic is free to kids on skis or snowboards and included instruction from Vail’s ski and snowboard pros. Kids from age three to 15 will learn the fundamentals of how to tackle their first rail slide or receive tips on maneuvering on a rail or other terrain park feature.

“The rail jam is designed to open up the door to freestyle for young aspiring snowboarders or skiers who may not yet feel comfortable venturing into the terrain parks on the mountain,” said Greg Willis, general manager of the Vail Children’s Ski & Snowboard School. “With the help of our top pros in this closed setting we hope to remove the intimidation factor and allow kids to learn the basic skills needed to ski or ride their first feature as well as general park etiquette and safety.”

Guests must bring their own equipment and parents must sign a release form in advance of participation. The rail jam is subject to weather and conditions.
