Vail Resorts to Host National Hiring Event Nov. 5, 2016 at its Iconic Mountain Resorts in Utah, California, Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin

BROOMFIELD, Colo., Oct.24, 2016—Vail Resorts is seeking brave, ambitious and passionate candidates to attend its Winter Jobs National Hiring event across all of its destination ski resorts in Utah, Colorado, California, Nevada, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin between 2-5 p.m. local time* on Nov. 5, 2016. Vail Resorts is interviewing for seasonal resort jobs such as mountain and lift operations, food and beverage, ski school, hospitality, lodging, transportation and retail/rental operations. Both full-time and part-time positions for the upcoming 2016-2017 season are available at Park City in Utah; VailBeaver CreekBreckenridge and Keystone in Colorado; HeavenlyKirkwood and Northstar in Lake Tahoe; Mt. Brighton in Michigan, Afton Alps in Minnesota and Wilmot Mountain in Wisconsin. Jobs are available for all ages, from teens to retirees, and for all schedules. Many employees work for a season and stay for a career. Employees often start at one resort and then transfer to another for the summer, and return for winter at most Vail Resorts properties or resorts.

“When I was in college earning a degree in biology, it never occurred to me that I would make a career in the ski industry in a place 2,000 miles from where I grew up! There’s nothing like working in the mountains…the view and healthy lifestyle never gets old,” said Susan Elliott, senior manager of lift operations at Breckenridge Ski Resort. “Vail Resorts has given me the opportunity to pursue my passions and grow my career by allowing me to learn and develop. Candidates hired for their Experience of a Lifetime will receive a complimentary ski pass for the 2016-2017 season or are reimbursed if they have already purchased a pass, as well as a competitive set of pay, benefits and unique perks like discounts on lodging, dining, gear and ski lessons for employees and their families. Additionally, employees at every level within the company are given access to formal tools for leadership development.
