Snow Storm Totals Reach 9 to 17 Inches in Less Than One Week at Colorado’s Four Major Ski Resorts
  • Series of Additional Storms Forecast for Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone

Summit County / Eagle County, Colo., Oct. 28, 2015 – With the arrival of an additional two to five inches of new snow during the past 24 hours, the week’s snow storm total has reached nine to 17 inches at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone.  Additional snow and cold temperatures are forecast for the approaching week, which offer conditions suitable for snowmaking at Colorado’s four major resorts. 
 
“Colorado’s four major resorts are ready for an incredible season,” said Pat Campbell, president of Vail Resorts Mountain Division.  “Cold temperatures and the onset of our first two winter storms have been timely; with additional snowfall forecast, we anticipate great opening days,” she said.  Keystone is scheduled to open Friday, Nov. 6 – followed by Breckenridge, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 13; Vail is slated for Friday, Nov. 20 and Beaver Creek is set to open Wednesday, Nov. 25.
