Early-Summer Operations on Vail Mountain Begin Friday, June 3
 
Vail, Colo. – May 25, 2011 – As the snow continues to melt, summer operations are heating up at Vail Mountain and a new season of activities gets underway on Friday, June 3. Scenic rides on the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) in addition to limited on-mountain dining and Adventure Ridge activities will be open for weekends-only, Friday through Sunday, and daily operations will begin Thursday, June 23.
 
Bike hauls on the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) will not be offered until conditions permit. Evening and extended daily operations, Vail’s Friday Afternoon Club and additional dining venues will get underway for the summer season beginning Thursday, June 23.
 
Adventure Ridge
Early-summer Adventure Ridge activities at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) will include the bungee trampoline and the always-popular Dino Dig for Vail’s youngest guests. Additional activities will be available as weather permits, including the new Top of the Mountain Tours, horseback tours, disc golf, rebound trampolines, a climbing wall and pony rides. A complimentary slackline park, bocce ball, horseshoes and bean bag toss will also be offered as the summer season progresses and conditions permit.
 
Talon’s Deck
Soak up some sun and indulge in views of the Vail Valley, Gore Range and Mount of the Holy Cross over lunch at10,350 feet at Talon’s Deck, open Friday through Sunday only, June 3-19 and daily beginning Thursday, June 23.
 
Lift tickets are required to ride the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) during the summer and can be purchased at the Lionshead Ticket Office for $24 for adults. The popular Lift & Lunch package will be available again this summer, which includes a one-day unlimited scenic gondola lift ticket and $15 food and beverage credit valid at Eagle’s Nest for $29 for adults. Up to three kids 12 and under ride free with a paying adult and 2011-2012 season pass holders receive unlimited, free scenic access to the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19). Guests who have not yet secured a pass for next winter can purchase one at www.epicpass.com. Sept. 9 – 25
Weekends only: Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
 
**Bikes are not allowed up the gondola after 6 p.m.
