Eagle County Regional Airport to Expand Winter Operations
 
VAIL, Colo. – September 12, 2017 – Skiers and snowboarders flying to Eagle County to access Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek Resort will see an increase in air capacity for the 2017-2018 winter season. Additional seats have been added to flights from Chicago and Phoenix. New service from Dallas/ Ft. Worth, Salt Lake City and San Francisco has also been added.
 
Chicago
Both American Airlines and United Airlines will increase their seat capacity from Chicago. American Airlines will add a second daily flight for the holiday period, December 15, 2017 through January 7, 2018. This will be in addition to a daily flight already in place with both American Airlines and United Airlines at this time period, for a total of three daily flights from Chicago.
 
American Airline’s second Chicago operation will operate on in-bound flights, Friday and Saturday, and, out-bound flights Saturday and Sunday for the remainder of the season, January 12, 2018 through April 1, 2018.
 
United Airline’s Chicago service will continue January 13, 2018 through February 14, 2018 on Saturdays and Sundays and then go to daily until April 2, 2018. In addition, two of the three daily flights from Denver will now be served by larger mainline aircraft, offering an increase in seat capacity and service level on these flights.
 
Dallas
American Airlines will provide year-round flight operations to and from Dallas/Ft. Worth with no break in service beginning this spring.
 
Phoenix
American Airline’s Phoenix service will expand for the 2017-2018 winter season, as well, with the following daily flights.
  • December 15, 2017 through January 7, 2018
  • February 15, 2018 through April 2, 2018

Service will operate Thursday through Monday January 11, 2018 through February 12, 2018.
 
Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City flights will return next season for the first time since the 1994/1995 winter season. Delta will offer one daily flight for the Holiday period, December 21, 2017 through January 7, 2018. If performance is strong, this flight schedule could expand in the future.
 
San Francisco
United Airlines will offer nonstop service from San Francisco to Eagle County Regional Airport for the winter season. The route will operate Saturdays and Sundays December 23, 2017 through January 7, 2018; February 15, 2018 through March 25, 2018; and Saturdays only from January 8, 2018 through February 14, 2018.
 
Additional 2017-2018 Winter Season Flights
Air Canada will provide Saturday flights from Toronto from January 27, 2018 through March 31, 2018. American Airlines will provide continued daily flights from Los Angeles, Miami, and New York/JFK. Delta will provide daily flights
 
from Atlanta. United will provide daily service from Denver, Houston, Newark and Saturday flights from Washington Dulles.
 
Summer & Fall Flights
Summer service is underway from Dallas/Ft. Worth, Denver and Houston and there will be no break in service this fall from Dallas/Ft. Worth and Denver. Both markets currently offer daily non-stop flights and will continue through April 2, 2018.
