Margo Christiansen Named Senior Manager of Communications at Canyons Resort
Park City, UT – May 8, 2014 – Canyons Resort has appointed Margo Christiansen to the position of Senior Manager of Communications. Christiansen, who began responsibilities on April 7, will focus on driving the Resort’s key messages for year-round activities and create new outreach initiatives to reflect the Canyons Resort brand while overseeing strategic communications and public relations.
 
“Margo brings a rich and diverse background of communications experience to Canyons,” explained Mike Goar, Vice President and General Manager of Canyons Resort. “Her passion for the snow sports industry and involvement in the Park City community provides a huge asset to Canyons and the Vail Resorts family.”
 
Christiansen joins the Canyons Resort senior leadership team with over nine years of public relations, communications and marketing experience within the ski and snowboard industry. Most recently, Christiansen was the Communications Director for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, working around the world with Olympic athletes, managing public relations and communications for four distinct brands and over 200 elite-level athletes.
 
 “It’s an honor to join the team at Canyons and Vail Resorts,” said Christiansen. “My background in Olympic sports communications and long-time connection to the industry has prepared me for this role. I’m looking forward to building on Canyons Resort’s brand and legacy.”   
 
A native of Pennsylvania and a graduate of the University of Scranton, Christiansen has called Park City home since 2007.
