Canyons Resort Unveils New Bike Park Trail
Expert-Only Trail Includes 14 Natural and Manmade Features

Canyons Resort Bike Park just gained more ground. GoPro Double Down, a new expert-only trail, has been added to the arsenal of trail offerings at Canyons Bike Park. After a summer of labor, the newly opened terrain is a signature Bike Park jump trail with mandatory drops and big air. Descending almost 500 vertical feet, GoPro Double Down incorporates 14 dirt and wood features within this prime bike park trail.

“Canyons Bike Park crew has worked hard this summer to build this incredible trail,” said Steve Duke, Canyons Bike Park Manager. “Adding GoPro Double Down to the already extensive trail network that we offer here at Canyons boosts expert terrain options and adds more elements for those seeking a challenge.”

GoPro Double Down is located at the trail hub of Insurgent and Ricochet within the Bike Park. This trail hub is located off of Short Cut chair lift, which is situated in the Red Pine Lodge area. Riders must have a Bike Park Season Pass or purchase a Bike Park day ticket for $32 in order to access this signature terrain.

GoPro Double Down begins winding through aspen groves and continues through a forest of pines, all the while riders experience deep pocketed berms, mandatory drops and wood planks. The trail flows smoothly and is enjoyable for riders with experience catching air and landing big drops.

Canyons Bike Park is open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., with extended hours until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.  After Labor Day weekend, the Bike Park will be open Thursday through Sunday until October 5 for fall riding.  For guests looking to experience the Bike Park for the first time, Canyons Bike Academy offers guided rentals and lessons by certified instructors for the beginner to experienced rider.
