Park City, UT (November 15, 2014) – With the temperatures dropping and snow guns blowing, Canyons Resort will open for skiing and riding on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014. The 2014-15 season will get underway with first chair at 9 a.m. officially kicking off the upcoming season. With a new Cloud Dine restaurant, improved snowmaking operations and the addition of Park City Mountain Resort to the Epic Local Pass, guests can look forward to an exciting and fun season at Canyons.

“This winter season, Canyons has much to offer both returning and new guests,” said Mike Goar, Vice President and General Manager of Canyons Resort.  “The new Cloud Dine restaurant offers guests an excellent and comfortable on-mountain dining experience on one of the most beautiful peaks at the Resort. With the addition of neighboring Park City Mountain Resort to the Epic Pass, our guests can ski two world-class resorts with such close proximity on one season pass. That is incredible value and the ingredients for an amazing season.”

Cloud Dine, one of Canyon’s most popular on-mountain restaurants atop Dream Peak, will be a brand new building, replacing the temporary structure with a permanent restaurant. The new Cloud Dine restaurant will have 316 seats, an increase in seating capacity of 41%, and an expanded outdoor dining deck. Cloud Dine features an innovative and fresh menu of items including made-to-order salads, homemade flat bread pizzas and specialty sandwiches.

In addition to the abundance of natural Utah snow, a snowmaking upgrade to Canyons’ pump station will increase snowmaking efficiency by 25 percent, enabling top-to-bottom skiing throughout the season and superior early-season snow surface conditions.

The best season pass value in the state of Utah, the Epic Local Pass offers unlimited days of skiing with holiday restrictions at Canyons and Park City for just $589 for adults (19+), $449 for teens (13-18), and $299 for children (5-12). Enjoy the famous Utah sun on Red Tail Grill’s outdoor deck, featuring a southwestern menu for lunch, après, and dinner.
