Canyons Resort Celebrates the Holiday Season

With the holidays quickly approaching, Canyons Resort announced a new 10-day holiday festival, aptly named Decemberfest, to celebrate the 2014 Holiday season with guests. Decemberfest begins December 12 with activities and events through December 21. Festivities include live music both morning and après times, the annual Santa Skis Free event and a brand new resort village lighting ceremony. All events are free and open to the public.

Vail Resorts to Invest an Unprecedented $50 million in Park City Mountain Resort in One Season

Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort Announce EpicPromise Grants

Vail Resorts announced more than $1,300,000 in EpicPromise community grants to be awarded to 30 non-profit organizations based in Summit and Wasatch counties. These grants support youth program and environmental initiatives that provide basic needs, connect kids with the outdoors, rehabilitate popular trails and increase educational opportunities for all kids.

Canyons Resort Opens November 28

With the temperatures dropping and snow guns blowing, Canyons Resort will open for skiing and riding on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014. The 2014-15 season will get underway with first chair at 9 a.m. officially kicking off the upcoming season. With a new Cloud Dine restaurant, improved snowmaking operations and the addition of Park City Mountain Resort to the Epic Local Pass, guests can look forward to an exciting and fun season at Canyons.

Canyons Resort Cuts Ceremonial Ribbon on Golf Course

Canyons Resort, TCFC and Canyons Resort Village Management Association (RVMA) cut the ceremonial ribbon on Canyons Golf Wednesday. The ribbon cutting kicked off a two-day celebration where Park City community leaders and partners took the first swings on course in a shotgun-style tournament. The golf course, which is situated over 97 acres in the heart of the Canyons Resort footprint, was designed by renowned architects Gene Bates and Casey Bates.

Canyons Resort Unveils New Bike Park Trail

Canyons Resort Bike Park just gained more ground. GoPro Double Down, a new expert-only trail, has been added to the arsenal of trail offerings at Canyons Bike Park. After a summer of labor, the newly opened terrain is a signature Bike Park jump trail with mandatory drops and big air. Descending almost 500 vertical feet, GoPro Double Down incorporates 14 dirt and wood features within this prime bike park trail.
