Canyons Resort, Utah’s largest and most dynamic ski and snowboard resort, today announced a partnership with Mountain Trails Foundation that will raised tens of thousands of dollars annually for the nonprofit foundation to continue its trail restoration and maintenance projects in Summit County, Utah.

Canyons Ski & Snowboard School, lauded annually for its high guest satisfaction scores and innovative teaching, introduces several new programs as Opening Day beckons on November 29. Spearheading the change is new director Jeff Lifgren who has relocated to Park City from Colorado’s Breckenridge Resort just in time for the 2013-14 season.
Vail Resorts, Inc. and Canyons Resort awarded more than $500,000 in contributions and have pledged more than 1,000 hours of paid employee time to 10 Park City non-profit organizations over the next year. The contributions follow Vail Resorts’ corporate stewardship efforts to benefit youth programs and environmental initiatives across the local communities in which the company operates its core businesses.
SKI Magazine’s annual reader survey of ski resorts has recognized Canyons Resort as one of the Top 10 resorts in North America for the second consecutive year. The annual survey of more than 20,000 skiers and snowboarders reviews nearly every aspect of resorts ranging from access (Canyons was ranked #5) to terrain parks (#11), lodging (#7) and dining (#10).
Canyons Resort, through the Vail Resorts Echo program, will partner with the East Canyon Watershed Committee as the fourth annual Vail Resorts Echo Day makes its debut in Utah this Saturday, September 21. This community project will engage employee volunteers, along with their families and friends, to work together in the cooperative task of rehabilitating East Canyon Creek near Swaner EcoCenter.

Utah’s only lift-served gravity mountain bike park at Canyons Resort now offers lessons exclusively by instructors certified as Professional Mountain Bike Instructors (PMBI), after all Canyons guides received their Level One certification.
