Hakuba Valley, Japan Is Now Epic

Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) today announced a long-term alliance with one of Japan’s largest and most renowned mountain resort regions —Hakuba Valley, located in the northern part of the Nagano Prefecture at the base of Japan’s Northern Alps and host to the 1998 Olympic Winter Games. Beginning with the 2018-19 season, the Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass and Epic Australia Pass will offer five consecutive complimentary days with no blackout dates at the nine ski resorts that comprise Hakuba Valley. It brings the Epic Pass total to 55 mountain resorts in eight countries, significantly more than any other season pass in the world.

Vail Resorts Celebrates 10th Anniversary of the Epic Pass by Honoring the Army’s 10th Mountain Division and Men and Women of the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as Service Members of Canada and Australia, with a Special Military Epic Pass and USD$1.5 Million in Contributions to Veteran Organizations

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Epic Pass, 2018, Vail Resorts is honoring the epic service of the Company’s founders and men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, Canadian Armed Forces and Australian Defence Force, with the introduction of a special new USD$99 Military Epic Pass. Also, for every 2018-19 Vail Resorts season pass sold, the Company will donate USD$1 to Wounded Warrior Project®. Based on 2017-18 pass sales, the donation would exceed USD$750,000.

The snow is falling at Park City Mountain this President’s Day. After enjoying over a foot of new snow last week, Park City woke up to 14 inches of fresh powder this morning with more snow forecasted to fall throughout the day and coming week.

Park City Mountain Now Open for the 2017-18 Season

Park City Mountain, the largest ski resort in the United States, is now open for the 2017-18 season. Payday and First Time lifts started spinning at 9 a.m. this morning at the Park City Mountain Village as guests eagerly awaited the first chair. Park City Mountain is one of first ski resorts to open in Utah and will remain open through Sunday, April 8, 2018. The Canyons Village is scheduled to open tomorrow, Nov. 24.

Last Chance to Purchase a Season Pass for Park City Mountain is Sunday, Nov. 19

Temperatures are dropping, snow has fallen and time is almost up to purchase an Epic Local Pass to ski or snowboard at Park City Mountain this winter. Park City Mountain is scheduled to open on Friday, Nov. 17 and the deadline to purchase an Epic Local Pass for the 2017-2018 season is Sunday, Nov. 19.

What's New This Season at Park City Mountain

Park City Mountain, the largest ski resort in the U.S., is scheduled to open for the season on Friday, Nov. 17 with a celebration at the Park City Mountain Village. This season, the resort will debut several new signature events, a new beginner ski area, a complimentary historic mining ski tour and a $15 million renovation of the Grand Summit Hotel at Canyons Village. The resort is also announcing changes to public night skiing.
