TRUCKEE, Calif. – Jan. 31, 2012 – Northstar California Resort today announced it will host the Tough Mudder event series in North Lake Tahoe on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23, 2012. Tough Mudder events are 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by British Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. With the most innovative courses, half a million inspiring participants, and more than $2.5 million dollars raised for the Wounded Warrior Project, Tough Mudder is the premier adventure challenge series in the world.

“We’re excited to host Tough Mudder at Northstar this fall as it is known as one of the most challenging endurance events – with a variety of obstacles that will test people’s strength, stamina and will – in the world,” said Bill Rock, chief operating officer at Northstar. “And, knowing participants help raise money for such a worthy cause as the Wounded Warrior Project, makes it even better.”
