Fall Event Line Up at Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort Includes North Lake Tahoe Annual Favorites
Lake Tahoe Music Festival, Pacific Fine Arts & Crafts Festival, Autumn Food & Wine Festival and Popular Mountain Bike Events Round Out Summer in the Mountains
 
TRUCKEE, Calif. – Aug. 22, 2011 – As the fall season approaches, there’s no shortage of special events on tap at Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort near Lake Tahoe, California. In addition to ongoing resort activities such as downhill and cross-country mountain biking, hiking, golfing, roller skating, horseback riding and more, visitors to North Lake Tahoe won’t want to miss out on upcoming events that include:
 
Lake Tahoe Music Festival: Michael Bolton, Aug. 25 – The Village at Northstar will serve as host to the final concert of the 29th Annual Lake Tahoe Music Festival on Thursday, Aug. 25 featuring a performance by Grammy award-winning recording artist, Michael Bolton. Pro Gravity Tour, Aug. 26-28 – This season, Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort will welcome the return of the 2011 Pro Gravity Tour, a pro mountain bike “gravity” event sanctioned by USA Cycling.
 
Wine Walk, Aug. 27 – A summer favorite, the Village at Northstar Wine Walk series will conclude Saturday, Aug. 27 featuring Ferrari-Carano winery. Open to guests ages 21+, the Wine Walk will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tickets include wine tastings and light food at a variety of stations throughout the Village at Northstar and a commemorative wine glass. Tickets are available for purchase for $25 online or at the Tickets & Season Pass office in the Village at Northstar in advance, or $30 at the door.
 
Arts & Crafts Festival, Sept. 2-4 – Labor Day weekend, North Lake Tahoe area visitors are invited to enjoy the Pacific Fine Arts and Crafts Festival in the Village at Northstar featuring more than 60 professional artists who will showcase their collectible work in a variety of different media including jewelry, sculpture, paintings, ceramics, photography and more.
 
Autumn Food & Wine Festival, Sept. 9-11 – The Village at Northstar welcomes the return of a fall favorite – the 26th Annual Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival. Visitors will enjoy three full days of food, a grape stomp, wine walks, seminars, cooking demonstrations, live music, kids activities and more, culminating with the grand tasting on Sunday, Sept. 11. Tara Llanes Classic, Sept. 24-25 – Severely injured while racing in Colorado in 2007, professional mountain bike racer, Tara Llanes has not only made impressive strides in her own recovery, but has created an organization to help offset the hospital bills for other mountain bike athletes recovering from serious injury. Proceeds of the Tara Llanes Classic support the Tara Llanes Road to Recovery Fund and the Reeve-Irvine Research Center to find a cure for spinal cord injury. In addition to the mega DH race, this year’s event will include a cross-country race, kid’s race, bike clinics, a film premiere, raffles and more.
