Save up to 70 percent at the Northstar Labor Day BLIZZARD Ski & Snowboard Sale; last chance to receive Early Rates for Tahoe's Original Three-Resort season pass

Northstar California Resort will host its annual BLIZZARD Ski & Snowboard Sale Friday, Aug. 29 through Monday, Sept. 1, during which guests can shop through The Village at Northstar to save up to 70 percent on apparel, skis and snowboards, boots and more.
 
Additionally, Labor Day marks the final opportunity to receive a 2014-15 season pass at the early rate.  The Best of Tahoe resorts – Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort – offer the region’s most valuable season pass choices starting at $409 with six “Buddy” tickets.  The Tahoe Local, Tahoe Value, and Epic season passes offer access to the most terrain and best conditions in the region with fewer restrictions than other resorts’ season pass options.

The annual tent sale offers savings up to 70 percent on brands such as Salomon, Marker, Atomic, Völkl, Technica, Lange, Patagonia, The North Face, Scott, Smith, Spyder, Ugg Australia, Sorel, and many others.  BLIZZARD sale hours are Friday, Aug. 29, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 30, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 31, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Monday, September 1, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Season Pass Early-Rate Sale, The Best of Tahoe – The Village at Northstar
Friday, Aug. 29 through Monday, Sept. 1, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Labor Day is the last chance for skiers to purchase a season pass to the Best of Tahoe resorts at the lowest guaranteed price while having access to the most terrain, and most ensured snow conditions in the region.  Offering access to Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort, the Epic, Tahoe Local or Tahoe Value season passes offer the most terrain and best conditions in the region – with clear details and fewer restrictions compared to other resorts’ season pass options.  Season passes may also be purchased at EpicPass.com and NorthstarCalifornia.com

Family and friends gather in The Village at Northstar for complimentary kids’ activities while parents enjoy special cocktails and wine varietals while relaxing in the cabanas around the skating arena. 
 
Pumps on Pedals – Friday, Aug. 29, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
As the region’s most popular weekly women’s MTB ride for all ability levels, Pumps on Pedals invites women of all ages to join in the Friday ride at Northstar, receive complimentary coaching and tips, followed by Bikes & Brews social hour. 
 
Northstar Wine Walk – Saturday, Aug. 30, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Visit The Village at Northstar for the summer monthly Northstar Wine Walk.  The ‘Sonoma Sampler’ features E.&J. Gallo Winery varietals pouring tastes such as MacMurray Russian River Pinot Noir  in addition to J Rose, Mauritson Saugivnon Blanc, Butter Chardonnay, Stemmler Vin Gris, , and many others. Guests receive a commemorative wine glass to use at nine unique tasting stops throughout The Village.  Savory bites, cheese plates and chocolate pairings are offered at several stations throughout the event.  Tickets are available online or at the Northstar Season Pass office in The Village for $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the Wine Walk. 
 
Northstar Brew Walk – Sunday, Aug. 31, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Beer connoisseurs are invited to sample several craft beers throughout The Village during the Northstar Brew Walk. More than seven stops will feature beers from breweries such as Rubicon Brewery, Anderson Valley Brewing and Great Basin Brewing, featuring favorite crafts such as India Pale Ale, Sweet Grass APA and Milk Stout. Guests are invited to wind down and lounge on The Overlook for the final stop of the Brew Walk to enjoy live music from Arnold Micham from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are available online or at the Northstar Season Pass office in The Village for $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the Brew Walk.
 
Tahoe Star Tour – Saturday, Aug. 31, 8:15 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.
Learn about the Sierra Nevada’s constellations, stars, planets, and vast celestial map during the Tahoe Star Tour, which includes a guided narration of the sky.  View the sky through high-powered Celestron telescopes and relax with friends and family while sipping cocoa and roasting S’mores.  Reserve tickets at NorthstarCalifornia.com.
