Heavenly Mountain and Northstar California Resorts began snowmaking earlier this month in advance of opening day slated for Friday, Nov. 17 at Heavenly and Northstar and Wednesday, Nov. 22 at Kirkwood. This announcement comes after receiving more than 700 inches of snow during the 2016-2017 winter season – the most snowfall on record for more than two decades.

Epic Local pass holders can now ski Whistler Blackcomb, the largest resort in North America, and the Best of Tahoe resorts, including Heavenly Mountain, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain. The Epic Local Pass pays for itself in just over three days of skiing or riding and offers West Coast skiers and snowboarders unlimited access to Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in Tahoe and Park City in Utah with limited holiday restrictions; unlimited access to Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado and 10 days total at Whistler Blackcomb in Canada, Vail and Beaver Creek in Colorado, and Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont. At just $679 for adults and $359 for children, skiers and snowboarders can experience the best of Tahoe and Whistler Blackcomb this winter.

Designed for guests who plan to primarily ski in Tahoe this winter, the Tahoe Local Pass provides skiers and snowboarders with access to Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood seven days a week with limited holiday restrictions – all for $589 for adults, $479 for teens and $299 for children, and pays for itself in just under four days. The Tahoe Local Pass also includes five total days of skiing and snowboarding at Utah’s Park City, the largest ski resort in the U.S., and Colorado’s Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin with holiday restrictions.
