Kirkwood Mountain Resort to Open the Entire Mountain While Heavenly and Northstar Expand Skier and Rider Access

Kirkwood Mountain Resort plans to open the entire mountain Saturday, Dec. 8, weather permitting, making it the first fully-open resort in the Tahoe Basin. Mother Nature continues to provide expanded terrain at Northstar California and Heavenly Mountain Resorts beginning today, Dec. 6 through Saturday, Dec. 8.

Vail Resorts EpicPromise is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018-19 community grants cycle. 93 local non-profit organizations received $1.9 million in cash, as well as additional in-kind product support aimed at supporting the issues that matter most to the Truckee and South Lake Tahoe communities. Across the company, Vail Resorts will give $11.4 million in support to more than 250 community non-profits over the upcoming year.

Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) today introduced Emma, your Epic Mountain Assistant, the world’s first digital mountain assistant to help guide guests while on their ski and snowboard vacation at nine of the Company’s resorts. Emma is an interactive mountain assistant who uses artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) to answer a wide range of guests’ questions about their ski vacation.
