Keystone Resort Rounds Out the Ski and Ride Season with Celebratory Events and Great Deals
KEYSTONE, Colo. — April 11, 2014 —With terrific spring skiing and riding conditions at Keystone Resort, what better way to end the season than a day on the mountain turning through soft mashed potato snow, enjoying entertaining events and taking advantage of end-of-season perks such as two-for-one dining options as well as Keystone Spa deals.

With over 22 feet of snowfall at Keystone this year, conditions remain excellent, and with the resort staying open until April 20 marking the longest season in 12 years, there is still plenty of great turns to be had on the mountain.

After a morning of skiing/riding across the resort, round out the season in style with Keystone’s celebratory closing weekend events such as the fourth-annual Slush Cup and Easter Egg hunt both taking place April 20. Slush Cup kicks-off at 10:30 a.m., with skiers and riders donning outrageous costumes to compete for great prizes as they try and make their way across a man-made pond. For the younger generation, an Easter Egg hunt will take place at 10 a.m. in the Mountain House Base Area with the resort and base area stocked full of hundreds of Easter Eggs ready to be found.

The resort’s signature Kidtopia programming will continue daily through Closing Day on April 20, with fun kid-friendly events including meet-and-greet with the avy dogs, DJ parties, Bigfoot Walks and of course, daily cookie hour at 4 p.m. Plus, make sure to practice that “princess” wave; every Saturday through April 19, Keystone hosts the best parade in ski country, right through the heart of River Run Village.

For parents looking for a night out, the infamous AAA four-diamond rated Ski Tip restaurant will be providing two-for-one meals from Executive Chef Brian Baker, complete with a four-course meal and dessert served fireside April 17-20.

Beginning Monday, April 14-May, 26, the Keystone Spa will be running a canned food drive that is not only a great way to support the local Summit County food bank, but also offers spa-goers the chance to save up to 30% off spa treatments. In an effort to engage in the community in a positive way, the Spa will grant a 5% discount per one can donated all the way up to a total of 30% off spa services such as massages, body treatments and facials. For nails and waxing services, the Spa will give up to 15% off services totaling three donated cans.
