Keystone, Colo. — May 2, 2017 — Keystone Resort kicks off daily summer mountain operations on Friday, June 9 at 10 a.m. Golf operations tee off on Friday, May 12 at the River Course and Friday, May 26 at the Keystone Ranch Golf Course.

Keystone Resort’s summer season provides a laid-back environment that is full of adventures with fewer crowds, allowing guests to enjoy authentic mountain experiences at a pace they dictate. Sitting at 9,280 feet elevation in Summit County, Colo. and just a short, scenic drive from Denver, Keystone is the ultimate location for families to enjoy mountaintop hiking, golfing, downhill mountain biking, horseback riding, lake activities, special events and lodging rates that begin at $99 a night.

Fun Fore All
Keystone Resort is home to two distinct golf courses, offering 36-holes of championship golf in one idyllic setting. The River Course offers impressive elevation changes, variable bunkers, water hazards and six sets of tees on each hole to challenge and welcome golfers of all ability levels. Keystone Ranch Golf Course is set on historic ranch land where original structures and old western heritage remain throughout the course, providing a nostalgic feel amongst the breathtaking scenery. Avid golfers will appreciate Keystone’s Stay, Play & Save lodging and golf packages, continually recognized as one of Colorado’s best stay and play offers, while families can take advantage of a Kids Swing Free program, Time for Nine rates and two golf courses that offer six sets of tees on each hole.

Kids Rule Keystone
Keystone’s signature daily Kidtopia programming provides families with a variety of activities and adventures that are free throughout the entire summer. From June 9 to Sept. 3, Kidtopia offerings such as nature hikes, kite building workshops and Wild West nights allow families to enjoy creative experiences that provide added ways to enjoy the resort. Additionally, special events such as the Strider Bike Series and Kidtopia Discovery Days provide free outdoor entertainment in the heart of Keystone’s River Run Village on select dates. Summer Snow Tubing: Yes – Summer. Snow. Tubing.
Even after the close of the ski and snowboard season at Keystone, guests can still get their adrenaline fix this summer at the Adventure Point tubing hill, where a not-so-secret stash of snow awaits. Situated at 11,640-feet elevation atop Dercum Mountain, Keystone boasts the only summer snow tubing operation in Colorado held on actual snow. Guests can zip down multiple tubing lanes, without all the winter apparel, and enjoy conveyor-lift access back to the top. Keystone’s summer snow tubing is set to open on June 9.

Keystone Bike Park: Downhill Thrills
The Keystone Bike Park features 55 lift-serviced singletrack mountain biking trails, with progressive terrain welcoming riders of all ability levels. With a dedicated trail crew, the Bike Park will feature a variety of new upgrades and additions, including new features, re-worked trails, increased bike haul capacity and a free skills park to promote progression. The Keystone Bike Academy caters to riders of all levels with beginner clinics, private lessons, downhill guides and a new camp designed just for kids. Bike and full downhill gear rentals are conveniently available at Keystone Sports locations in the resort’s River Run Village, and Bike Park Season Passes may be purchased now by visiting keystoneresort.com. The Keystone Bike Park is set to open on Friday, June 9.

Lakeside Village: Activities On and Around Keystone Lake
Stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, lakeside bicycle rides, whichever the mode of transportation the Keystone Lake presents a picturesque mountain setting. Located in Lakeside Village, the Keystone Adventure Center provides boat and bike rentals, arcade games, beach toys, snacks and a bar.

Festival Season: Bacon, Brews, Wine, Live Music
Summers have become the season of festivals, and this certainly holds true at Keystone Resort.
