Tahoe, Calif. – March 10, 2020 – Spring is nearly here, meaning longer days and more time for the sun to shine. Thanks to a strong start to the winter, with more than 16-feet of snow at each resort, the #TahoeTrifecta (Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood) are well set up to welcome springtime skiing and riding with bluebird days, outdoor après, food and drink specials, and lively events.

Collectively, the resorts have over 95% of skiable acreage open and thousands of acres to explore. With the warmer days, the spring snow makes for conditions that are optimal for every level; beginner and advanced alike. Ski and ride schools at each resort are the perfect place to learn and progress your skills this spring.

Grab your crew and earn your Après this spring at Heavenly

Heavenly’s annual Spring Loaded event, March 21 - April 11, brings together friends to celebrate the best of winter and spring with live music, loud outfits and various fun-filled festivities for two weeks of sun and fun. Spring Loaded includes concerts, the Gunbarrel 25, and much more. 10 Barrel Brewing Company’s Beercat, the world’s coolest mobile snow pub, will give guests and their crew a chance to enjoy beers outside while watching Heavenly’s annual pond skim. The event brings dressed-to-impress skiers and riders in onesies and tutus together to celebrate spring and see if they have what it takes to ski down and skim across a small manmade pool. Après will be lively and Dirty Snowmen will be sipped at Tamarack Lodge and Bar 9150’, one of the top après spots in the nation. Live music from the Send It Band and tunes spun from the DJ Cat will ensure snow dancing continues in both California and Nevada this spring.

Spring Fun for Everyone under the Sun at Northstar

Northstar transforms from a winter wonderland to the perfect spring skiing setting with activities and events for the whole family to enjoy, whether on the mountain or in the Village. Explore different group and individual lessons from Northstar’s world-class Ski School and discover snowboarding from the world’s only Burton Academy, which utilizes terrain-based teaching, starting riders as young as 3-years old. Spring weather elevates the pristine outdoor settings and relaxed luxury vibes for daily traditions like the complimentary 2 p.m. t?st at Lake Tahoe’s only ski-up bubbly bar, as well as s’mores and hot cocoa in the Village at 4 p.m. Listen to live local music at the Rink Stage while sipping on the #TahoeTrifecta’s famous cocktail, the Dirty Snowman, Fridays through Sundays from 3-5 p.m. Wrap up the day around the fire pits at the new Bourbon Pub Northstar, which offers a cozy family-friendly setting with games, music, comfort food and an outdoor bar. On April 12, don’t forget to say “hi” and get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny while participating in Northstar’s Easter Eggstravaganza hunt on the ice skating rink.

Stoked for Spring at Kirkwood

Kirkwood’s Mountain Village located by the base of Chair’s 5 and 6, will turn up the volume this spring with music on Saturdays from 2-5 p.m. and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. Artists like Jelly Bread, Full Blast, Eric McFadden and others will create a lively, family-friendly atmosphere at the base of the mountain. Guests can share loaded wall bar chips on the deck of the Wall Bar while enjoying all-day weekend discounts on select food and beverages. Spring classic events like the IFSA Freeride World Qualifiers will return to showcase big mountain shredding, while new experiences like 10 Barrel’s Beercat, the world’s coolest mobile snow pub, will give guests a enjoy some beverages outdoors.
