Heavenly Mountain Resort Opens Stagecoach Chair

Heavenly Mountain Resort Now Offering 128 Skiable Acres
  • Heavenly Mountain opens Stagecoach Chair and base area this Saturday morning
  • Guests will now have access to 128 acres of terrain
 South Lake Tahoe, CA. – Dec. 9, 2016 – This Saturday morning, Heavenly Mountain Resort will begin operating Stagecoach Chair and the base area, now offering 128 skiable acres for skiers and snowboarders. Stagecoach Chair provides immediate access to intermediate terrain on the Nevada side of the mountain, allowing an easy entrance point for Carson Valley guests.  
 
With snow in the forecast later this week, additional terrain is expected to open during the month of December.
 
Skiers and snowboarders now have access to the following lifts at Heavenly Mountain Resort:
  • Stagecoach Chair
  • Comet Chair
  • Dipper Chair
  • Tamarack Express
  • The Village Gondola
  • Big Easy
  • Tubing Lift
  • Red Fir Mitey Mite
  • Bear Cave Carpet
All guests are reminded that they must observe all posted signs and closures, especially during the early season. Closed trails may contain hazards due to early snow coverage.
 
Events
Winter Ignite
From December 2-10, 2016, Heavenly’s season opening two-week celebration includes live music and Unbuckle après parties, as well as concerts and entertainment at the nearby casinos. The event will culminate Dec. 10 with a free headliner concert featuring the Cold War Kids in Heavenly Village.
 
Heavenly Holidays
From December 19-31, 2016, Heavenly Holidays transforms the Heavenly Village into a holiday winter wonderland with lights, decorations, music, ice sculpting, a Ripperoo Parade and more. It all cumulates on New Year’s Eve, with a live band and brightly-lit Gondola that descends over the crowd, signaling the start of the New Year and a festive fireworks show.
