As Much as Six Feet of New Snow Delivered to Top Ski Resorts throughout Western North America
  • Additional Terrain Expected to Open throughout Colorado, Utah, Lake Tahoe and British Columbia
BROOMFIELD, Colo. – Nov. 30, 2016 – Within a week of opening for the ski season, resorts throughout western North America received a massive dose of winter weather – including the arrival of as much as six feet of snow accumulation and cold temperatures which dipped to the single digits. National weather forecasts call for additional snowfall and continued cold temperatures throughout the first week of December.
 
“With winter underway at all nine of our major resorts, skiers can expect excellent snow conditions and the opening of additional terrain throughout our mountains in the approaching week,” said Vail Resorts Mountain Division President Pat Campbell. Expanded terrain is anticipated this week at Colorado’s Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek Resort, Breckenridge and Keystone; Utah’s Park City Mountain; the Lake Tahoe Region’s Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California and Kirkwood Mountain Resort, and Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada.   
 
Week’s snow accumulation totals:
13 – 18 Inches | Colorado’s Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek Resort, Breckenridge, Keystone             
30 Inches | Utah’s Park City Mountain
13 – 26 Inches | Lake Tahoe’s Heavenly Mountain Resort, Northstar California, Kirkwood Resort
93 Inches | British Columbia’s Whistler Blackcomb

Sunday, Dec. 4 marks the final day to purchase a 2016-2017 Epic Pass, saving up to 40 percent compared to lift ticket window prices. Ski unlimited and unrestricted from opening day to closing day for only $849. The Epic Pass offers unlimited, unrestricted skiing and pays for itself in just over four days. Enjoy full access to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado; Park City in Utah; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe; Perisher in Australia for the 2017 season; Afton Alps in Minnesota; Mt. Brighton in Michigan; and Wilmot Mountain in Wisconsin. Epic Pass holders receive five free days at Whistler Blackcomb in 2016-2017 with holiday restrictions.  The Epic Pass grants limited access to Arlberg in Austria, Les 3 Vallées, Paradiski and Tignes-Val D’Isere in France, Skirama Dolomiti in Italy and 4 Vallées in Switzerland. A child pass (ages five to 12) is $439.
 
Epic Local Pass™: Ski like a local no matter where you are from. For $649, receive unlimited and unrestricted skiing or riding at Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin with limited restrictions at Park City, Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood, plus a total of 10 days at Vail and Beaver Creek with holiday restrictions. The Epic Local Pass pays for itself in just over three days. Epic Local now includes five free days at Whistler Blackcomb in 2016-2017 with holiday restrictions. A child pass (ages five to 12) is $339.
