Breck Spring Fever Festival Continues with Kid and Adult Friendly Events

·         Ski Season continues until April 27, 2014

 Breckenridge Ski Resort’s Spring Fever Festival continues to heat up as snow conditions at Breck remain the best in Colorado, as the resort has received nearly two feet of new snow in the past week. The month-long festival continues this weekend with great events for kids of all ages and plenty of snow and terrain to go around.
 
This weekend’s Spring Fever events are as follows:
 
Friday, April 4
5 ‘til 5 Terrain Park Happy Hour
Head to the park every Friday afternoon during Spring Fever from 2 p.m.- 5 p.m., where the 5 Chair will run late until 5 p.m.! This means extra access to some great spring park laps- plus music and free hot dogs! Skiers and riders can compete in jam style contest where competitors can win season passes, GoPros and other great prizes. Test out your skills and get ready for some fun in the sun!
 
Saturday, April 5
EpicMix Scavenger Hunt
It's back! The 2014 EpicMix Scavenger Hunt will be held Sat. April 5, from 8:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. And it’s FREE! Teams of up to four people are welcome to participate for free in one of the most popular events of the season on April 5. Ten clues leading you to ten locations around the mountain and once there you'll need to take a creative photo showing the location and upload it to Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook using the hashtag #BreckMixHunt. Complete the clues and be the most creative "hunter" and we'll reward you with a fabulous prize. Location: Head to the EpicMix branded tent in the base of Peak 8 for hunt information and registration.
 
Breck Spring Fever Beer Festival
The Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival is back for the eighth yearand better than ever! The Beer Festival will take place in the heart of downtown Breckenridge on Ridge Street from noon to 5 p.m.  There will be more beer & more fun right in Breckenridge! Three live bands will play throughout the day as guests sample beers from over 30 breweries!For tickets and information, visit www.breckenridgebeerfestival.com.
 
Yamn at the Village at Breck
Yamn resides in Denver, CO, and first and foremost their heart is in their live experience concerts. They have courageous beats, grooves that cause contagious grins and head-banging rock riffs. Yamn is a band hungrier than ever to push the limits of progressive live-tronica.

Sunday, April 6
Ripperoo’s Mascot Olympics
Come to the base of Peak 8 for one of the zaniest free kid-friendly events anywhere! Breck’s official mascot, Ripperoo, has invited a bunch of his mascot friends from around Colorado to come to Breck and participate in a series of snow sports to determine who will win the Gold, Silver and Bronze in different wacky events!
 
9:30a.m. -10 a.m.       Face time - mascots will interact with the crowd/pose for pictures in the Peak 8 base area
10 a.m. -11:45a.m.     Event
11:45 a.m.                  Awards in Peak 8 venue

Other Breck Spring Fever 2014 signature events will include:
·         5’ til 5’ Terrain Park Happy Hour events on Friday afternoons via the 5 Chair lift
·         Extended Gondola operating hours
·         The 18th Annual Imperial Challenge bike & ski race
·         The Tatry Giant Slalom & Slalom Races
·         Easter egg hunts both on the mountain and in-town
·         A sunrise Easter service at TenMile Station
·         The Spring Series International Ski Federation Super G & Giant Slalom Races
·         Extended week of skiing through April 27, 2014.

The 2014 Imperial Challenge…the most unique pseudo-triathlon anywhere enters its 23rd year!! RUN or RIDE your bike six miles from the Breckenridge Rec Center to the base of Peak 8 at the Breckenridge Ski Resort. ASCEND on your choice of gear to either the top of the T Bar (Sport Course 2500’) or to the tippy top of Peak 8 (Expert Course 3000’). DESCEND to the base of Peak 8 and the finish! Visit www.mavsports.comfor registration and details.
 
April 12-13 – Bud Light Concert Series
The first set of concerts: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (April 12) and Gin Blossoms (April 13). Concerts are FREE and start at 2 p.m. in the Peak 8 base area.
