Clean it Up at Breck’s Mountain Cleanup Day
BRECKENRIDGE, COLO. – June 17, 2016 – Breckenridge Ski Resort in collaboration with Friends of Dillon Ranger District invite community volunteers to support spring cleaning at Breckenridge Ski Resort on Mountain Cleanup Day, Thursday, June 23. Coffee, donuts and a BBQ lunch will be provided before and after the mountain picking fun (you never know what you’ll find out there!).  Community volunteers need to sign-up ahead of time online at http://fdrd.org/calendar to participate.
 
Registered volunteers need to check-in between 9-9:30 a.m. on June 23, on the Ski Hill Grill patio at the base of Peak 8, where they will receive a free lunch coupon; BBQ lunch will be provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free BreckConnect Gondola will be running from town starting at 8 a.m. for Mountain Cleanup Day and parking is free in the North Gondola Lot. Community volunteers will also receive an activity voucher to be used on the Breck Alpine Super Slide or GoldRunner Coaster one time by August 31.
 
Join the Fun and Be Prepared!
Recommendations for what to wear and bring include sturdy footwear, proper attire for the weather conditions including attire for possible intense sun, sun screen, hat, plenty of water, sunglasses, trekking pole(s) and working gloves. Event will be held rain or shine and trash bags will be provided. Canned food items will also be accepted for donation to the Family & Intercultural Resource Center “FIRC” if participants would like to bring an item to the event.
 
The Summer Fun Park is Open at Breck
The Breckenridge Summer Fun Park is open for the summer daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Labor Day; then Friday, Saturday and Sunday for two additional weeks closing on September 18, 2016. Summer Fun Park activities include traditional favorites like the Alpine SuperSlide, Breck Flyer Zipline, GoldRunner Coaster, 4X4 Off-Road Tours, Breck Off Road Segway Tours (weather and snow dependent) and Kids’ Base Camp for children weighing 30 to 100 pounds (including Kids’ Zipline, Kids’ Ropes Course and Kids’ Summer Tubing). On-Mountain Dining
Breck summer visitors can also enjoy dining during the summer on the Ski Hill Grill patio conveniently located at One Ski Hill Place at the base of the Breck Fun Park.  Both the Ski Hill Grill and the T-Bar next door will be open daily starting at 11 a.m. until the gondola closes.
 
Sevens restaurant, on Peak 7, will also be open daily for both lunch and dinner. Guests can bring their dog for Happy Hour at Sevens, daily from 3 to 6 p.m. Canine inspired beer and wine are available for humans 21 years of age and older, along with appetizer specials and complimentary treats for dogs during Happy Hour.

What’s New for 2016-2017!
This summer, Breckenridge Ski Resort will be constructing a new restaurant on Peak 7 at the top of Independence SuperChair. The restaurant will accommodate 490 guests and offer a variety of food and drink options including a Mediterranean station and extensive salad bar. The new restaurant is expected to open in December, 2016. Construction will also begin this summer for Epic Discovery, set to launch summer, 2017. Guests should be aware of construction and maintenance and pay attention to closures and restricted areas when exploring the mountain.
