BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — Nov. 26, 2014 – As the snow keeps falling (a foot in the last 24 hours and nearly three feet in the last seven days!), terrain continues to open at Breckenridge Ski Resort, just in time for Thanksgiving weekend.

Beaver Run SuperChair and Mercury Chair are now open for the season, along with some of Breck’s most famous runs like Devil’s Crotch, Tom’s Baby and Mine Shaft – bringing the resort open acreage total to 985 for Thanksgiving Day.

If that isn’t enough to be thankful for, resort officials will also open the Independence SuperChair to access five additional runs on Peak 7 Friday, Saturday and Sunday only so guests can enjoy an extra helping of snow and skiing this holiday weekend. Peak 7 terrain will close again on Monday, Dec. 1, to prepare the peak for its permanent opening on Friday, Dec. 5, weather permitting.

With the incredible early season snowfall, Breck operational teams are working hard to also open the T-bar lift and Horseshoe Bowl and North Bowl sometime this weekend, conditions permitting. Keep an eye on these terrain openings, resort conditions and more at Breckenridge.com or follow @BreckConditions on Twitter.

Breckenridge Ski Resort requires all skiers and riders to observe all posted signs and warnings. Closed trails may contain hazards due to limited natural snow coverage and snowmaking operations. Please keep off closed trails and out of closed areas for safety reasons.
