Beaver Creek, Colo., July 18, 2018 — The much anticipated wine, spirits and culinary event of the summer, the 12th Annual Beaver Creek Wine & Spirits Festival returns August 9-12, nestled in the raw beauty of the Rocky Mountains of Beaver Creek, Colorado. This event incorporates culinary excellence with Beaver Creek’s longstanding traditions of outdoor adventures, health and wellness. Each event has a specialized theme and a location that pairs perfectly.

Whiskey Wranglers at the Beaver Creek Rodeo 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Put on your boots and kick off Wine & Spirits weekend at the Beaver Creek Rodeo while sampling a variety of fine whiskeys from Laws Whiskey House (Denver, CO), Peach Street Distillers (Palisade, CO) and barbeque from Moe's Original Bar B Que! Savor the flavor of the whiskey on your palate while getting a taste of this Wild West tradition.
Location: Beaver Creek Rodeo, VIP Tasting Area. The Beaver Creek Rodeo Grounds are located in Avon just east of the Chapel Square and City Market shopping centers. A Western Hike to SaddleRidge 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Enjoy a complimentary guided hike from the Summer Adventure Center that will take you on a journey to the famed SaddleRidge, home of one of the largest private collections of Western artifacts in the United States, outside of a museum. You’ll receive a guided tour of tribute to the Old West, designed by the lead designer at Ralph Lauren, to view the many artifacts including photographs, bronzes, art work and other memorabilia before hiking back down to the village.

Hands On: Mozzarella Making Seminar 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Become the fromager and make your own mozzarella cheese at this hands-on seminar at Toscanini.  Lead by Sean Razee, Master Sommelier of Southern Wine and Spirits, you will create your own traditional southern Italian cheese you will enjoy a sampling of delectable Italian wines designed to pair and illustrate the many regions of Italy.

Chardonnay Uncorked Seminar 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Explore the origins of the most widely produced white wine in the world from the Wilson Daniels Wine Portfolio lead by William Davis, Certified Wine Educator. Guests will be treated to both oaked and unoaked versions from regions near and far. You will leave with an understanding of the impact of climate, tradition, and winemaking on the world's most malleable grape.  Sample Chardonnay in its many forms and tasting profiles to find your favorite region of the world.

Prost: Après in the Village 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Join us in the heart of the Beaver Creek Village to enjoy a traditional combination of beers and sausage on Friday afternoon. Listen to live music and enjoy the traditional German game of hammerschlagen or team up for a round of corn hole. Sample beers and snack on sausage that is cooked before your eyes.

Mirabelle Farm to Table Dinner 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
A concept created by Master Chef Daniel Joly, this four course dinner sources all of its food from within 150 miles of the very spot that you’ll be sitting for a truly one of a kind outdoor dining experience. Paired with elegant wines from the Wilson Daniels Wine Portfolio, the night will be as elegant as it is delectable.

Splendido Wine Dinner Benefiting Bright Future Foundation 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
This event is the perfect opportunity to do good while eating well! Join us for a sumptuous five-course dinner prepared by Splendido at the Chateau’s Executive Chef Brian Ackerman paired with the perfect wines from Jackson Family Wines. Enjoy a little friendly competition while raising money for the Bright Future Foundation during a special four-course semi-silent auction.

Shaping Your Senses: Wine Glassware and Tasting Seminar 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Featuring Riedel Ambassador Shelley Sale, find out why the shape of your glassware matters in fully experiencing different varietals of wine. You will learn about various glassware shapes and how they change the experience of enjoying wine focusing on the taste, balance and finish provided by each glass. After the seminar concludes, you will take home your very own Riedel glass kit, valued at $119.

Hands On: Custom Blends Seminar 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Have you ever wondered what makes a balanced wine? Take the reins in this seminar and blend as a winemaker would in their own winery. Guests will blend Cabernet, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and a few other familiar varietals from The Wine Foundry to create glasses of their own red wine blend. Light Hors D'oeuvres will be provided by Chef Riley Romanin of Revolution to enjoy at the conclusion of the seminar.
