Brilliant Golf Greens are Par for the Course this Father’s Day Weekend at Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek, Colo. June 14, 2011 – As the winter white continues to fade from the slopes of Beaver Creek the colors of summer are in bloom and the brilliant green courses at the Beaver Creek Golf Club and Red Sky Golf Club are prime for play heading into Father’s Day weekend. Generous snowfall this winter has led to ideal course conditions and guests looking to get into the swing of summer can beat the heat with a game of golf high in the Colorado Rockies. Make it a family golf outing and celebrate Father’s Day with the Junior Golf Special, offering free play for kids ages 7-18, with a paying adult, at both courses June 17-19, 2011.

The Beaver Creek Golf Club opened in 1982 and is one of the longest established golf courses in the Vail Valley. Nestled against the slopes of Beaver Creek Mountain, the course was designed by noted course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and is known and respected for its long, narrow, challenging fairways and its stunning scenery. This Father’s Day weekend only golfers can enjoy the Junior Golf Special Friday through Sunday and throughout the rest of the season this offer is available on weekdays, Monday through Thursday. Golfers can also come any afternoon this summer and take advantage of a Twilight rate of $95 for 18-holes of golf after 2 p.m. For more information and to book tee times or lessons, call the Beaver Creek Golf Club at (970) 754-5775.

Red Sky Golf Club is home to two award-winning 18-hole courses, The Norman Course and The Fazio Course, designed by Greg Norman and Tom Fazio, respectively. In the fall of 2009 both courses achieved designation as Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an Audubon International program. A private club, Red Sky is open for play for members and members’ guests as well as guests at select lodging properties including The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch; Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa; The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek; The Lodge at Vail; The Arrabelle at Vail Square; Vail Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa; The Pines Lodge; Beaver Creek Lodge; and The Charter at Beaver Creek. Red Sky offers the Junior Golf Special everyday throughout the summer. Golfers can also take advantage of the Flex36 option and play 36 holes in any combination over four consecutive days for only $300. For more information on the Red Sky Golf Club, visit www.redskygolfclub.com or call (970) 754-8400 or toll-free (866) 873-3759.
