Beaver Creek’s 12th Annual Rodeo Series Returns Thursday, June 27
Beaver Creek, Colo. June 13, 2013 – The Beaver Creek Rodeo Series, presented by the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, returns for its 12th season Thursday, June 27. Dust off your cowboy boots and experience the spirit of the old west with the luxury and convenience expected at Beaver Creek. The resort’s family-friendly western rodeo is held every Thursday night weekly through Aug. 15 and this year, a special Tuesday night rodeo will take place on July 2, prior to the Fourth holiday. Dates for this year’s rodeo series include June 27, July 2 (Tuesday), 11 and 18 and August 1, 8 and 15. 
 
The full lineup of classic rodeo events include bronco riding, calf scramble, team roping, mutton bustin’, barrel racing, bull riding and burro racing. Gates open at 5 p.m.- bring the whole family out for pre-event activities including pony rides, face painting, mechanical bull rides, and a wide range of cuisine offered by local restaurants. Food options include everything from barbeque to Caesar salads to funnel cake. New this year, the Rodeo Series features a Veuve Clicquot Champagne bar on the rodeo grounds adjacent to the VIP entrance and Après Rodeo parties at Maya Restaurant located at the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa. At Maya, join KSKE Ski Country radio for $5 drink specials and $2 tacos-of-the-day plus prizes and giveaways each week from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
 
Rodeo tickets may be purchased at the Beaver Creek Information Center up to 3 p.m. on the day of the rodeo or onsite at the rodeo beginning at 5 p.m. The rodeo takes place rain or shine, and tickets are therefore non-refundable. 2013 ticket pricing is as follows:
 
·         VIP: $25
·         General Admission: $20
·         Seniors (65+): $15
·         Youth (13-17): $10
·         Kids (12 & Under): Free
 
Registration for audience participation eventsbegins at 5 p.m. on the day of the event at the information tent inside the gates. Mutton bustin’ and burro racing are $25 while the calf scramble is offered complimentary. Parents must register children for the mutton bustin’ and calf scramble and teams of three adults age 18 or older can register to compete in the burro racing. Audience participation events are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Please visit the website for entry rules and requirements.

Located in Avon behind Chapel Square at Traer Creek, free shuttle service to the rodeo is available from the Covered Bridge in Beaver Creek Village, as well as the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa. Shuttles run continuously from 5 to 9 p.m. Free parking is available directly across the street from the rodeo grounds, with a one-minute walk to the site. Alcoholic beverages, pets, and glass containers cannot be brought onto the rodeo grounds.
