Lodging Options Expand at Beaver Creek for 2008-2009

BEAVER CREEK, Colo. – Fall 2008-2009 – Beaver Creek Resort is well-known for delivering exquisite experiences – both on-mountain and in the village, and the resort’s lodging options are second to none. This season, Beaver Creek adds two new jewels to its hospitality crown; The Osprey at Beaver Creek, and the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa.  Boutique Hotel Opens Just Steps from the Chairlift
Discerning travelers will find a sophisticated, luxury, boutique hotel experience just steps from the chairlift this winter. The Osprey at Beaver Creek, A RockResort, formerly known as the Inn at Beaver Creek, is undergoing a $7-million transformation and will be re-launched as RockResorts’ newest addition in time for the 2008-2009 ski and snowboard season. The 41-room hotel, owned by RockResorts, is situated in Beaver Creek Village at the base of the Strawberry Park Express lift (#12); the closest hotel to a chairlift in North America. In addition to newly remodeled guest rooms, the lobby and public spaces will be renovated to reflect a mountain-chic style. The outdoor pool will be enhanced with an après ski deck boasting breathtaking mountain views. The resort also features a new tapas bar offering an extensive wine list and casually elegant atmosphere. Guests to the new hotel will appreciate the dedicated ski concierge, which includes overnight equipment storage and tuning. 
 
New Westin Resort Anchors Riverfront Express Gondola
The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa is the Vail Valley’s first luxury “green” resort. This upper-upscale resort will awaken guests’ senses with breathtaking views of Beaver Creek Mountain, unparalleled access to the Eagle River and signature Westin services and amenities.The cornerstone of a $500 million condo hotel development, The Westin Riverfront features 210 finely appointed guest rooms ranging in size from studios to three-bedrooms. Amenities include the 23,000 square foot Spa Anjali, Restaurant Avondale led by acclaimed chef Thomas Salamunovich, on-site ski rentals and ski valet service, and an outdoor pool and hot tubs. Guests will have direct access to the slopes at Beaver Creek via the Westin’s Riverfront Express Gondola. The Westin Riverfront is on track to be the first upscale resort in Colorado to achieve coveted LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
 
Exclusive Mountain Retreat Gets a New Look
Beaver Creek’s renowned Trapper's Cabin was fully renovated last winter, and now reflects a "mountain modern" style. Visitors to this luxury private retreat will find new features including a professional kitchen, remodeled bathrooms, a seven-person outdoor hot tub, decks, fireplaces with intricate stone work, a steam shower and soaking tub, contemporary furnishings, Frete linens, and pool and poker tables. The retreat sleeps up to 10 people, and is situated at 9,500 feet atop Beaver Creek Mountain. Guests are pampered from the moment they arrive, and the cabin's personal chef and cabin keeper cater to their every whim.
