Winter Storm Gives Colorado Skiers and Riders Lots of Love on Valentine's Day

VAIL, Colo. – Feb 14, 2010 – Mother Nature gave Colorado skiers and snowboarders a gift of a whole lot of powder for Valentine’s Day weekend with Vail and Breckenridge received a walloping of 17 and 20 inches respectively and Beaver Creek and Keystone also received an extra helping of snow for the holiday.

Keystone Resort Kidtopia Festival February 18-21st
Keystone’s Kidtopia Festival from February 18 - 21 is full of programming dedicated to kids. The Signature Weekend features concerts, entertainment from Radio Disney, and the debut of the world’s largest snowfort on top of Keystone’s Dercum Mountain. With a carnival of activities from disco tubing to glow bug skate nights, an arts and crafts tent as well as other events and entertainment. Vail Bud Light Street Beat Concert February 24th

Vail Mountain She Skis
A Women-Only Testing Clinic is organized by SKI Magazine’s former women’s ski test director Krista Crabtree for intermediate and advanced female skiers. Aimed at enhancing equipment knowledge and technique through testing of next season’s women’s-specific skis, participants in the three-day clinic team up in small groups with top female pros. Atomic, Dynastar, Fischer, K2, Nordica, Rossignol and Volkl brands are all included in the testing, covering Vail’s extensive and diverse terrain. Feb. 26-28, 2010. www.vail.com  

Breckenridge Resort Women’s Ski and Snowboard Camp
Play hooky for a few days and join the ladies for a special getaway. Spend three full days on the slopes as you advance your skiing techniques and learn in this supportive, female-only environment.
