Grand Re-Opening Celebration to Take Place at Wilmot Mountain on Saturday, Jan. 7
  • The Grand Re-Opening celebration is open to the public and features fun, family-friendly events such as an ice sculpting demonstration, rail jam and s’mores by the fire
  • Guests can experience the enhanced Wilmot Mountain experience, including new lifts, dramatically improved snowmaking, fully renovated base lodge, new kids ski and snowboard school facility, and upgraded terrain park
WILMOT, Wisc. – Dec. 29, 2016 – Wilmot Mountain, a long-time favorite Midwest ski destination, will celebrate its grand re-opening with an all-day, family-friendly celebration on Saturday, Jan. 7. Guests can come experience and enjoy the more than $13 million in improvements by new owner, Vail Resorts, including new lifts, dramatically improved snowmaking, fully renovated base lodge, new kids ski and snowboard school facility, and upgraded terrain park. On or off snow, there’s something for the entire family to enjoy.
 
When: Saturday, Jan. 7, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

What: Events will be taking place throughout the day and music will be provided by Red Bull’s Fire Truck, Cate, a retired Chicago fire truck. 

10 a.m.: Ribbon Cutting and Presentation
10 a.m.-noon: Stop by the Wilmot Tent for a chance to pick up some Wilmot swag
10 a.m.-3 p.m.: Watch the Wilmot Adult Race Team in their first Wilmot race of the season in the new Race Arena
1 p.m.: Ice Sculpting Demonstration
2 p.m.: Terrain Park Rail Jam
3 p.m.: S’mores by the Fire
7 p.m.: Live Music
