Vail Resorts Announces Epic Local Pass Providing Access to America’s Largest Resort for as Low as $579

Park City, UT (March 10, 2015) – Season passes for the 2015-16 ski and snowboard season go on sale today and Vail Resorts’ Epic Local Pass will provide access to Park City Mountain Resort, which will be combined with Canyons Resort to create the largest resort in the country at 7,300 acres, for only $579. The Epic Local Pass offers unlimited days of skiing with 11 holiday restrictions in Park City and also includes unlimited, unrestricted skiing or riding at Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado, with limited restrictions at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood at Lake Tahoe. A total of 10 days at Vail and Beaver Creek are also included, with holiday restrictions. Putting $49 down now will lock in the lowest guaranteed price and each pass holder will receive six discounted Buddy Tickets to use at any of the resorts.
“There truly is no better ski or snowboard value being offered in the state of Utah,” said Bill Rock, Park City’s chief operating officer. “When you consider the acreage and the variety of terrain, and then add in $50 million dollars of improvements that will completely transform the ski experience and the additional access to Colorado and Tahoe, there is no pass in this market that compares with the Epic Local Pass.”
The improvement plan, which totals over $50 million, is one of the most ambitious and impactful capital programs in U.S. ski industry history and will transform the guest experience at Park City Mountain Resort. The plan would establish a gondola connection between Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort, creating the largest single ski area in the country with more than 7,300 acres of skiable terrain, and complete a number of critical upgrades to the infrastructure of both resorts, including upgraded lifts, new and upgraded restaurants, new and widened trails and additional snowmaking. The plan will be subject to approval by both Summit County and the City of Park City.
Beginning March 10 and offering additional incentive to purchase early, skiers and riders visiting Park City and Canyons this spring can turn in their day lift ticket and apply the value of that ticket toward the purchase of a season pass. Early purchasers also receive six Buddy Tickets for friends and family to use during winter 2015-16.

Skiers and riders should purchase their passes for next year now. Early prices with six discounted single-day lift tickets (or “Buddy” Tickets) to ski with friends and family are only guaranteed through April 12, 2015. Vail Resorts is making it as easy as possible for guests to lock in these prices with a $49 down payment now with the balance due in mid-September 2015.

Vail Resorts encourages guests to purchase pass insurance. All of its pass products are non-refundable. However, pass insurance covers pass holders in the event of unexpected circumstances including illness, injury and job loss. Season Pass Auto Renewal Program
The Vail Resorts Season Pass Auto Renewal Program is the most convenient way to automatically renew your season pass every year, while guaranteeing next season’s lowest price. Valid on all Vail Resorts season passes, excluding college and certain senior passes. The program automatically charges $49 down to a credit card each spring, with the remainder charged in the fall for the same product pass holders purchased when initially enrolling in the Auto Renewal Program. Customers must opt-in to the Auto Renewal program and they may cancel their enrollment at any time, prior to the following spring when the $49 down payment is charged.
