October Colorado Snowstorm Hits the High Country Just in Time for Ski Resort Openings
  • Keystone Resort opens Friday, Nov. 4
  • Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek also look ahead to November openings
Beaver Creek, Colo. — Oct. 26, 2011 — A late-October snowstorm in Colorado is making headlines across the country as snowfall amounts have reached more than seven inches at Keystone Resort over the last eight hours, with heavy snow still falling. The ski resort opens to the public for the 2011-2012 season in just 10 days on Friday, Nov. 4. Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek are also seeing snow, over a foot in some areas as they also look ahead to their openings throughout November.
