Vail Resorts Closes Its Acquisition of Stevens Pass Resort in Washington

Vail Resorts today announced that the Company has closed on its acquisition of Stevens Pass Resort in Washington from Ski Resort Holdings, LLC, an affiliate of Oz Real Estate. The final purchase price, after adjustments for certain agreed-upon terms, was $64 million. Less than 85 miles from Seattle and renowned for its plentiful snowfall, the resort sits on the crest of the Cascade Range within two national forests – the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest on the west side, and the Wenatchee National Forest on the east.

Monday, Sept. 3 is the last chance to receive the lowest price for the Epic Pass and the entire suite of Epic Season Pass options – including the Epic Local, Epic 7-Day, Epic 4-Day, Epic Military Pass and many more. The Epic Pass, available for $899, remains the best overall value in skiing, offering skiers and snowboarders unlimited, unrestricted access to 19 mountain resorts plus additional access to 46 more throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria. A child pass (ages five to 12) is $469.

Vail Resorts CEO to Donate $31 Million from SAR Exercise

Today, Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rob Katz has exercised stock appreciation rights (SARs) that were expiring over the next two years and will be donating 100 percent of the shares and proceeds received to his family charitable foundation and donor advised charitable fund. Based on the market price on the date of exercise of $275.25 per share, the donation is equal to approximately $31 million.

Vail Resorts to Acquire Okemo Mountain Resort, Mount Sunapee Resort, Crested Butte Mountain Resort, and Stevens Pass Resort in Two Transactions

Vail Resorts, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Triple Peaks, LLC, the parent company of Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont, Mount Sunapee Resort in New Hampshire, and Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado. As part of a separate transaction, Vail Resorts will also purchase Stevens Pass Resort in Washington from Ski Resort Holdings, LLC.
